AtHomeDaddy is finally getting to delve into Friday Night Lights by H.G. Bissinger. It only took the library four months to get me a copy. That is the longest I have had to wait for a book, since they started an online reservation system.
Used to be, you would ask the librarian to get you a book that was not on the shelf, and they would call you when it came in. If it ever came in. Sometimes it would be a year later, and they would call. But the knuckleheads at our branch library would often forget to route the request through the system, so sometimes, the call never came.
Now, with the online system, I only have to deal with the library staff when I check out a book. Or pay a fine. Too bad they won't Fedex me the books I request and take Paypal for fines.
