Working at the Carwash

The Talker and I decided to wash the cars this afternoon. SO once we got home from church and ate lunch, we were out the door and enjoying a beautiful day.

Actually, I washed the cars. He ran around in nothing but his underwear, watering the trees. Mostly with the garden hose. But I did not ask too many questions. And in the end, we have two clean cars, one worn out child, a lot of well-watered trees and a really wet daddy.

Afternoons like this. That's what AtHomeDaddy was made for.

Sounds great! If we tried that here we'd be a big chunk of ice and a little chunk of ice these days...

Summer days here, though, kids and hoses are just made for each other. I remember my son bk and his friends when they were about 5 digging a really big mud hole in our yard. Yeah it ruined the grass, and daddy ended up getting a bit muddy too, but hey it kept them really busy for a whole bunch of days in a row. And they just loved it. There's something about flowing water that just keeps the kids busy, in a good way...
